Computer labs at Bohang Institute

There are several reasons why we are seeking teachers to go to China for a year to teach American Conversational English.

First, China has become Americas biggest trading partner and needs people who can communicate with US companies to facilitate business.

Second, within the next five years, China will host the Olympics and the World Economic Summit.

Third, American English is the language of business, math and science.

Finally, while English is taught in many schools from the first years, students are generally taught to read and write but very few Chinese have been taught to speak English.

Currently, there are many English programs and American teachers in China. Most of the programs are British developed to teach English. Our programs are the same ones used in US school systems to teach ESL (English as a Second Language) students. Out teachers will also speak American English slang just like we do at home. This is what the Chinese want to learn.

We use networked based programs that can be used in our huge computer labs by students. Our teachers work in the labs and also teach classes from our training manuals to help the students speak English.

Requirements for these positions are high.

On May 5th we sent our first American teacher to the Bohang Institute. Here he is leaving from O'hare Airport in Chicago.
